As a kickback from the current trend of Wordpress websites, I needed a nice clear layout that was configurable by an administrator.
HTML Purists will hate me as all the content comes from a database. This was to enable seamless substitution of language text.
It's 45 pages in 3Mb (plus 10Mb of images). The main slow items are the panoramas so these are CSS backgrounds so they load after the text. I had a few goes at the menu style so there are 4 options (user selectable naturally).
Everything works without Javascript except the slideshows and Google analytics, The menus are pure CSS cobbled together from many different sources.
